About this deal

Inexplicably, her heart ached for these strangers. She would never know their stories and secrets, but she knew them. She was, after all, walking in their footsteps.”

I hope you can forgive me one day, and that we can have closure. I said it before, and I’ll say it again—I don’t blame you for my miscarriage. It devastated me—us—but it wasn’t your fault. It was an accident. This isn’t to guilt you into forgiving me, but hopefully, it’ll give you the peace you need. We’ve both been through so much. I think it’s time we finally let go of our past and move on.” Warning: This is the first book in a duet. It's a full-length novel with no sudden cliffhangers, but Blake and Farrah's story continues in book two, If the Sun Never Sets (due out July 2020), which takes place five years later. HEA guaranteed in book two. Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly tailored suits of a gentleman. He has little use for morals and even less use for love, but he can't deny the strange pull he feels toward the woman living just one floor below him. Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos - and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified. With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can't afford the distraction she brings. So, what I guess I’m saying is that this book became a guilty pleasure! I enjoyed reading it. It was not a deep, thrilling story. There were no mysteries and it was rather predictable. But I appreciated the change of scenery that this brought to my reading. I believed in Farrah and Blake as characters and eventually found myself engrossed in their story – after I had let loose and admitted to myself that yes, I was enjoying the book. It was easy to immerse myself into the life of students in Shanghai and I actually am looking forward to discovering what happens next to Blake and Farrah. All their moments together flashed through his mind, and the boy who’d once sworn he would never cry over a girl… cried. He cried because he’d hurt her. He cried because it kept his mind off the desperate loneliness that weighed on his soul the moment she left. Most of all, he cried for what they had, what they lost, and what they could never be.”

As much as Blake wanted to continue hating Cleo, he couldn’t. Partly because they’d both been at fault—him with the accident, her with the deceit—and partly because he’d been relieved. The scales had evened a bit (though it still tipped heavier on his side), and he hadn’t cheated on Farrah. It may have seemed like a small detail in the grand scheme of things, but not to him. We never had sex. You were wasted, and I brought you to one of the hotel suites to sleep it off. But I was too drunk to drive home myself and all the other rooms were full, so I stayed the night. We didn’t do anything. But you didn’t remember what happened when you woke up, and I was so angry with you I lied.”And I would like to point out that a lot of these second chance books … your characters aren’t going to be the same people they where if there’s a big time jump

you have my heart until the earth stops spinning and the stars turn to dust. you can love it or hate it or forget all about it. but it will always be yours” This led me to believe she finally found some self respect and high tailed it out of there. But no, hypocrisy ... she was there in the morning cooking breakfast, forgiving him and making amends. Book Genre: Academic, College, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Fiction, Football, Love, New Adult, Romance, Sports Romance The way that they encourage each other to reach for their goals is beautiful. They see promise in each other and don’t feel the demands and expectations they left in America. I like how they boost each other up and support each other’s dreams. In this book, the story concludes between Blake and Farrah as their paths cross – five years from where the previous story finished. The plot follows pretty much the same themes as before: lust, conflict and then a lot of steamy sex. I can’t say it was ground-breaking, but it was an entertaining read nonetheless.
